My Personality Test

My personality that i got after the test was ESTP. It stands for extraversion, sensing, thinking, and perceiving. I share my personality with alot of famous people and famous fictional characters. my favorite famous person in todays world is Ben Affleck, i am choosing him because he is an actor and director and i think people that both and direct movies are very talented people and deserve more credit than they receive because directing a movie is a very hard to do and so is acting, you need to have alot of talent to do these things.

I think that the part that the describes me the best is a a social person who likes to be with people and have fun and not care about the rules or what people say. The trait i do not think that describes me is dramatic, it says i could be dramatic at times but i don't see myself as a "dramatic person". 

I think that the ESTP personality trait describes me really well. It describes me as athletic and i would consider myself athletic because i have been interested and played sports all my life. It helps me understand the way i act and think.

In a group or role i like to play is for a group to use my idea because i think my idea will work and i have confidence in myself and i believe nothing is impossible unless proven so.

The people that have i have the most issues with is the people that are ignorant and wont change the way they think or do things. People need to always adapt and change to be the best that they can and if they do this i wont have a problem with them, i dont know how people could live there life as the same thing every day.

I have learned that my personality is a lot like my life and thinking process. I like to be with friends and have fun all the time. It also says that i am an athlete and i consider myself as a athlete as i said before.  I think the ESTP personality describes me very well and i enjoyed doing this assignment.

New year, New You

I learned a lot in the first semester, what i think i need to improve on is staying on task and not focusing on planning a short film or project but to to actually go out and try to film it. i need to stop procrastinating. I think i could also improve on editing and group work. During this semester our group still needs to finish our short films and we need to do it well because i want this short film to turn out really well. I think i know all the camera shots and i am good with a camera and know how to use the cameras really well. i think there is always room for improvement and i know i could improve as a student because no one is perfect at a job or filming.

Digital Presence

In the article it talks about how social media is being used as a negative influence to teens in high school or college. It talks about how now colleges are now looking at teens social media accounts to see what people do out side of school. Kids trying to get into college have been denied because of there outside social activities. if you dont post anything bad on a social media website then you shouldn't have to worry about anything. Colleges have the right to look on peoples social media accounts and i think they should continue to do so.

What scares you?

Why do we like scary movies? I think we like scary movies because it stimulates our brains and keeps us on edge. I know from watching horror movies that this does this to me and i know my friends have said that scary movies do this to them to. Scary movies have been around for a long time and have gotten scarier over time as have the after effects to make a movie scarier. If you compare the music from horror movies from then to now the music has changed for the better and another huge reason for this is the timing and editing of music. If movies did not add suspenseful music or good after affects i don't think a movie would even be that good. Try watching a movie without sound, i guarantee you will not get scared at all.  That shows how important music is to a film and it needs to be good in order to make a movie good. A example of good music in a horror film is Insidious, that movie had such great music that at certain points the music would give you chills. I think music can make or break a movie so if it does not have good music, it will not be a good movie.

All Dressed up

Edith Head holds the record for the most oscars by a single women, 8. She gained these mainly through costume design. Most of these came during the 50's and she became a very popular costume designer. She designed many stand out dresses and clothes and whenever a movie she designed came out people would look for the clothes she designed or made. A costume on a character can change the audiences view point of that person or thing. They can make a character look interesting, good, funny, bad, evil, and can make the audience think differently of that person. The costume design will obviously change when the current year or time has changed so the costume can match that era. if you don't match the correct costume with the correct time the movie wont have a good look or feel to it. Colors in a costume can also show the characters mood or tone in a movie or it changes the characters role or how the character can stand out from the rest of the characters. And finally certain clothes will show a characters certain belief or certain culture that they are in. Costumes are one of the most important things in a film and if they are done right they can make or break a movie.

When books are translated into a different language a translator will face many problems in doing this. The translator has to tank in effect the slang language for that particular language and also abbreveations for words. Different languages in the world have different slang language and different short term words for example has'nt is a short term word for has not, and other languages do not use short term language a'lot they use the whole word. In the book of the great gatsby i think that the movie did a better job at showing the first big party at gatsbys house than the book did at showing the party. I say this because the book didn't describe the electric atmosphere that the movie did show and the book also did not show the whole party as a whole while the movie did. Overall i think that the movie is better than the book.
